A eagle-eyed car car spotter recently went wild after spotting a limited-edition Lexus LFA sports car in Lagos, Nigeria.

LFA powered by a completely new V10 power plant created by Lexus with inputs from Yamaha, F1 and Moto GP engineers.

This 4.8 litre V10 engine puts out 560-570-hp, allowing the LFA to rocket from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 202mph.

Just 500 units of the LFA were built between 2010 and 2012, making the pinnacle of the F Marque a sought-after collector’s item.

The camera of an eye-eyed car spotter, YL_The Car Guy, recently captured a limited-edition Lexus LFA sports car cruising somewhere in Lagos, Nigeria, with the rare sighting sending him into excitement.

But Autojosh ain’t surprise with his reaction because just 500 units of the Lexus LFA were built between 2010 and 2012, making the pinnacle of the F Marque a sought-after collector’s item prized for its handling, and bespoke engineering.

Featuring a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer body, the development of the Lexus LFA, codenamed TXS, began in early 2000 while the production version debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2009—commemorating Lexus’s 20th anniversary.

Inside, the driver-focused interior of the LFA features two bucket seats, a steering wheel with a right-mounted start button and alloy paddle-shifters as well as Lexus’ Remote Touch controller interface.

One of the highlights of this world-class supercar is its completely new V10 power plant created by Lexus with inputs from Yamaha, F1 and Moto GP engineers.

This 4.8 litre V10 engine puts out between 560 (standard) and 570 (Nürburgring Edition) of breathtaking power, allowing the LFA to rocket from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 202mph (325km/h).

The price of hand-built limited-edition Lexus LFA has increased from around £345,000 (approximately $530,000) at the time of release to over $1 million due to its status as a sought-after collector’s item.

One recently fetched around $924k while two examples of the LFA Nürburgring Package were snapped at auctions for $1.875 million and $1.625 million in November 2023 and March 2022 respectively.
