Moment Davido arrived Wema Bank HQ in Lagos in Rolls-Royce Cullinan as he becames Brand Ambassador for its digital bank, ALAT By Wema.

Nigerian commercial bank, Wema Bank, on Friday announced the signing of Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido as Brand Ambassador for its digital bank, ALAT By Wema.

Davido, who also made the announcement via his Instagram story on Friday, shared series of pictures and videos of the unveiling event at the bank’s headquarters in Lagos.

A footage captured the moment Davido arrived at the Wema Bank Headquarters in Lagos in his Rolls-Royce Cullinan, ahead of signing the juicy multimillion naira deal with the bank.

The partnership between the two was formalised, barely two weeks after the multiple award-winning artiste raised about ₦200 million after he jokingly solicited for funds from his closed friends to clear his Rolls-Royce Cullinan at the port.

Davido, who posted his ALAT account and asked his friends to donate, subsequently added ₦50 million to the total sum received, before announcing plans to donate all to orphanages across the country.

The massive sum of money received by Davido in his ALAT account within 24 hours would later force officials from Wema Bank to fly to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for a crucial meeting with the singer.

Speaking on the brand ambassadorship and his association with Wema Bank and ALAT, Davido said :

“I am excited to join the Wema Bank family and look forward to the great things we will achieve together.”

Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director/CEO, Wema Bank, Ademola Adebise, lauded Davido’s generosity, after the singer gave away all the donations.
