NFL rookie Jermiah Braswell’s time with the Arizona Cardinals maybe over before it even began after driving his Chevrolet Camaro into a Lake.
Fortunately, no one was in the vehicle with him during the crash and he also appears to have escaped injury.
According to witnesses, Jermiah Braswell was traveling at “a very high rate of speed” along the shores of Lake Erie when it veered off the road before ending up in the water.
Police found the 23-year-old wide receiver in the driver’s seat while trying to move the vehicle out of the water.
The twenty-three year old was arrested at the scene for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI).
According to the police, the undrafted player was so drunk that he was still trying to drive into the water.
“As officers went into the water and approached the Camaro, they found the driver was still in the driver’s seat trying to drive forward,”
“He told officers that he was ‘stuck’ and didn’t know what happened. As officers spoke with the driver, they noticed that his speech was slurred and he was unable to explain how his Camaro ended up in the water.”
His breath test showed Braswell’s Blood Alcohol Content was way above Ohio’s legal limit.
He’s now being charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated. As for the submerged Chevrolet Camaro, the flooded muscle car is likely totaled.
