Parking made easy, Mercedes explains how to use “Trailer Manoeuvring Assist” on the Mercedes-AMG GLC Coupe.

The whole process is very simple : reverse gear – finger – touch screen; the combination moves the vehicle forwards or backwards in the desired manner … almost like magic.

Reversing a car that has a Trailer attached is no doubt a real nightmare. Thanks to Mercedes “Trailer Manoeuvring Assist“, you can manoeuvre backwards with confidence, precision, and ease – even in tight situations.

The system is designed to help inexperienced drivers reverse with much ease even in cases of poor visibility and misleading signals from someone assisting you.

Mercedes, in a new one-minute-and-a-half video, explains how the system works.

In the short clip, a father, transporting his daughter’s pony in a trailer made use of the feature while reversing his Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 Coupe.

To use the feature, you will need to engage the reverse gear to make the vehicle stationary.

After that, you will need to press the park button on the touchpad in the center console or select the function via the touchscreen.

After driving forward to set up the assistant, the system can be activated up to a maximum incline of 15%.

According to Mercedes, the whole process is very simple : reverse gear – finger – touch screen; the combination moves the vehicle forwards or backwards in the desired manner, almost like magic.

The Trailer Manoeuvring Assist controls the steering angle of the towing vehicle automatically at a speed of up to 5 km/h.

Thanks to the all-round view of the 360-degree camera and virtual display from a bird’s-eye view, you can keep the vehicle surroundings in view at all times.
