Dubai Police impounds high-value two sports cars, fined ‘aura farming’ owners Dh50,000 (N21m) each over dangerous stunt.
One driver climbed onto the bonnet of moving McLaren 720S, while the other was inside the bonnet of a moving Lamborghini.
The police department said this reckless behaviour poses a serious threat to the safety of the drivers and other road users.
Dubai Police said that traffic patrols identified the drivers through two widely circulated videos on social media.

The Dubai Police have impounded a Lamborghini Huracán and a McLaren 720S sports cars after their drivers were seen in a videos posted online performing dangerous stunts on public roads for the trending ‘aura farming’.
In the footage shared by the police department, one of the drivers was seen climbing onto the bonnet of a moving McLaren 720S, while the second driver was seen shooting his own content inside the bonnet of a moving Lamborghini Huracan.

Dubai Police said that traffic patrols identified the drivers through two widely circulated videos on social media, adding that it responded by impounding both vehicles and fined each driver Dh50,000 (about N21 million) for the dangerous stunts.
“This reckless behaviour poses a serious threat to the safety of the drivers themselves and other road users. It is a blatant violation of traffic laws and cannot be tolerated,” said Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police.

“Public roads are not stunt arenas, and using social media to promote such dangerous acts is entirely unacceptable,” he added.
The police department urged the public to adhere to traffic laws and report any suspicious or hazardous behaviour through the “Police Eye” service on Dubai Police App.
