Jeep Says Toyota Can't Match Its Off-Roading Abilities - autojosh

UAW’s president disclosed a tentative labor agreement between Jeep, its parent company, Stellantis, and the union itself. Interestingly, the agreement reveals some of the companies’ future production plans, including those for fully electric versions of the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee models.

According to the document, the Wrangler EV will likely debut in 2028, with the Grand Cherokee EV scheduled to come a year earlier. The Wrangler will be produced at the Toledo Assembly Complex, while the Grand Cherokee will come out of the Detroit Assembly Complex.

A new all-electric Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer based on the STLA Frame are also planned for 2027 release.

Looking back at older but still recent documents, Stellantis will invest $19 billion by April 2028 in new battery plants, facility upgrades, EV training, and the development of entirely new EVs in order to keep up with the transition to an electrified future. About $9.4 billion of those are designated for three new battery plants.

But before all that, we are waiting on the Jeep Recon and the Wagoneer S.
