Ferrari confirms first-ever luxury SUV, the 2023 Purosangue, will debut in September with V12 Engine.
It added that the hotly anticipated Ferrari Purosangue SUV will account for 20 percent of its annual shipments.

Ferrari has confirmed that its first-ever SUV, the 2023 Purosangue, will debut in September with its “most iconic engine” : a V12, adding that the hotly anticipated SUV will account for 20 percent of its annual shipments.
The Italian marque made the announcement today at the Ferrari’s Capital Markets Day event, during which it also revealed plans to launch 15 new vehicles between 2023 and 2026.
Speaking about the SUV, CEO Benedetto Vigna told reporters :
“From my and our test drives in the hills around Maranello I can tell you that it’s a true sports car, and unlike any other”.
It will be “100% Ferrari”, he added.
….“it will meet and exceed all the demands of performance, innovation and design that you would expect from us”.
On the engine of choice, Vigna said :
“We’ve tested several options. It was clear that the V12, for the performance and driving experience it could provide, was the right option for the market.”
Ferrari remains tight-lipped about how much power the V12 will deliver in the Purosangue, but it pumps out 830 hp in the 812 Competizione and 788-hp in the 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated unit found in the 812 Superfast.
Ferrari added :
“The V12 has always been an intrinsic part of Ferrari DNA. It is a celebration of our heritage, and a symbol of our relentless quest for new heights of performance and pure driving emotion.”
The upcoming Ferrari Purosangue is the Italian brand’s answer to high-performance SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX, and Bentley Bentayga.
