Festival Travel Rush : China’s Railways handle over 300 million passenger trips between January 26th to February 19th.

Over a billion passengers will make three billion trips during this year’s Spring Festival travel rush from January 26th to March 5th.

Ahead of migration, the world’s second most populated country flaunted hundreds of its high-speed bullet trains.

China has the world’s longest high-speed rail network – with a total length of 42,000 kilometres (26,000 mi) by the end of 2022.





In addition, the country operates high-speed bullet trains, which runs at a speed of 250 – 400 kilometers per hour.

China State Railway Group Co Ltd handled more than 300 million passenger trips between January 26th and February 19th, the first 25 days of the Spring Festival travel rush, according to local media, China Daily.

Amid the annual 40-day Spring Festival travel rush, China’s railway sector reported 14.04 million passenger trips on Monday February 19th, while it forecast 13.3 million for Tuesday February 20th.





Like from the past, over a billion passengers will make three billion trips during this year’s Spring Festival travel rush from January 26th to March 5th for family reunions and travel.

To avoid another gridlock during this year’s “World’s largest annual human migration“, China is fully prepared to ferry some of the holiday-goers to-and-fro with its high-speed bullet trains.
