Sanwo-Olu Inspects Red Line Rail Ahead Of Presidential Launch On February 29th
Governor Sanwo-Olu inspects Red Line Rail ahead of official Presidential launch on February 29th 2024.
During the visit, he issued a strong warning to those selling on the train tracks to vacate the place immediately.
He also urged individuals to refrain from crossing the tracks and advised trespassers to vacate the Red Line corridor.
He also said trains will soon be operating between Agbado and Oyingbo stations with a frequency of 10-15 minutes.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday February 18th (today) inspected the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Red Line rail infrastructures ahead of the official launch later this month.
According to a statement by LAMATA, the inspection was to ascertain if the Red Line rail project is ready for official launch by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday February 29th, 2024.
During the visit, the Governor issued a strong warning to those selling on the tracks or living there. He urged individuals to refrain from crossing the tracks and advised trespassers to vacate the Red Line corridor immediately.

“Trains will soon be operating between Agbado and Oyingbo stations with a frequency of 10-15 minutes.
“As a responsible government, we will do everything possible to ensure the tracks are cleared from all encumbrances.
Governor Sanwo-Olu was accompanied by his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, MD LAMATA, Engr. Mrs Abimbola Akinajo and other key transportation officials during the inspection tour of the Red Line rail infrastructures.
