‘Beware Of Fraudulent Vehicle Auction Schemes, Nigerian Police Tells Nigerians

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has adviced the public to be aware of the recent surge in deceptive vehicle auction scams and the impersonation of senior Police Officers to dupe unsuspecting Nigerians.

A statement by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja, read in part :





“The Nigeria Police Force wishes to issue a vital advisory to safeguard the public against the recent surge in deceptive vehicle auction scams and impersonating senior officers to dupe unsuspecting Nigerians.”

“Citizens have reported incidents where individuals, falsely posing as representatives of the police authority, have sought financial contributions under the guise of imminent vehicle auctions and favours, including contracts from the NPF.”

Kidnapping : Enugu Bans Unauthorized Tinted-glass Vehicles

The Enugu State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dr. Peter Mbah, has ban the unauthorized use of vehicles with tinted glasses in a move to combat kidnapping and other crimes in the state.

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof Chidiebere Onyia, made this known in a statement on Monday, adding that the ban will take effect from September 4.

“Defaulting vehicles shall be impounded by the enforcement task force and shall not be released to their owners until the tinted glasses are removed or replaced and the specified fines paid.”

Traffic Diversion : Lagos Govt Set To Install Truck Barriers Along Funsho Williams Avenue





The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions on major roads starting from today August 11th, ahead of the planned installation of truck barriers along Funsho Williams Avenue.

Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant on News Media to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who made this known in a tweet on Friday August 11th, added that installation of barriers commences from Friday 11th to Monday 14th August, 2023.

The Senior Special Assistant on News Media to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu also listed the following alternative routes for motorists during the installation of the barriers.
