Gov Sanwo-Olu Honours London-Lagos Solo Car Driver, Pelumi Nubi With New Car, Apartment
Governor Sanwo-Olu meets London-Lagos solo driver, Ms. Pelumi Nubi, at the Lagos House on Monday, 8th April 2024.
MS. Pelumi Nubi honored with brand new car, a customised plate number as well as an apartment in Lagos.
In addition, the State Government also took over her entire bill for the trip and made her Lagos Tourism Ambassador.
The 28-year-old travel content creator embarked on her cross-country solo trip in a Peugeot 107 on January 30th 2024.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday, 8th April 2024, received UK-based London-Lagos solo driver, Ms. Pelumi Nubi, at the Government House, Marina.
Pelumi, a content creator had on Sunday April 7 2024 arrived in Lagos after completing an epic 68 days solo road trip from London, United Kingdom, to Lagos, Nigeria.
In recognition of her incredible feat, Governor Sanwo-Olu honored her with a brand new car, a customised plate number (NUBI-9JA) as well as an apartment in Lagos.
In addition, the State Government also took over her entire bill for the trip and made her Lagos Tourism Ambassador.

Following her meeting with Governor Sanwo-Olu, Pelumi took to her X handle to announce the development.

Her ride traverse London – France – Spain – Morocco – Western Sahara Desert – Mauritania – Senegal – Gambia – Guinea-Bissau, – Guinea – Sierra Leone – Liberia– Mali – Burkina Faso – Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) – Ghana – Togo – Benin – Lagos.
