Hennessey Has Tuned The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Into A 708 Hp Supercharged Beast Called H700
Hennessey has come out with a supercharger upgrade for the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray that lifts the mid-engine marvel’s performance to supercar levels.
The Texan tuner on Tuesday announced the H700 upgrade that dials output from the Stingray’s 6.2-liter V-8 to 708 hp and 638 lb-ft of torque. That’s up from the peak 495 hp and 470 lb-ft of the stock Stingray, and also well ahead of the track-focused Corvette Z06’s 670 hp and 460 lb-ft.
A number of other features come included with the H700 package. For example, there are new lightweight 19-inch and 20-inch wheels available with brushed aluminum, satin black, or graphite finish. Hennessey has also designed new graphics to add to the sporty prowess of the mid-engined supercar.
John Henessesy spoke about the H700 “Our exciting H700 supercharger package integrates seamlessly with the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and our exhaust upgrade sounds much more aggressive than stock,”.” Considering that our power and torque surpass the factory Z06, the Hennessey H700 is arguably the best value high-performance supercar in the world,” he added.
The entire package costs $49,950 and is available for 2020 – 2022 C8 Corvette Coupe models. For buyers only looking for performance, a “power-only” package is priced at a more palatable $34,850. This includes only the supercharger kit.
Customers can order the package via authorized Corvette dealers, and all models receive a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty, giving you the ultimate combo of peace of mind and performance.
For turbo fans, Hennessey is developing a twin-turbo upgrade for the C8 Corvette. An initial tune has shown as much as 643 hp at the wheels during dyno testing, and Hennessey plans to take performance up to hypercar levels with a 1,200-hp tune as well.
