Burna Boy and Wizkid, two of Nigeria’s biggest musicians, sent their fans into frenzy last month after splashing out nearly N2 billion each on a Ferrari Purosangue and a McLaren 750S sports cars respectively to celebrate a successful 2024.
While both went for sports cars from different brands, the two Grammy award-winning stars walked into the same car dealership in Lagos to pick up their brand machines late in December of 2024.
Purosangue is Ferrari’s first car with four doors and four seats while the 750S – the successor of the 720S – is lightest and most powerful series production McLaren supercar ever.

Price
The super SUV starts just under $430,000 and about ₦2 billion to own in Nigeria, including shipping and clearing charges.
Engine
Ferrari Purosangue is powered by 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V-12 engine that churns out 715 horsepower.
0-60 mph, Top-speed
Ferrari claims that the Purosangue will accelerate to 62 mph in 3.3 seconds and go on to a top speed of 193 miles per hour.
McLaren 750S
Price
Wizkid’s open-top 750S has a base MSRP of $324,000 – excluding destination fee and about ₦1.7 billion to own in Nigeria.
Engine
At the heart of the seven-figure McLaren 750S Spider is a 740-horsepower, 4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine.

It allows the supercar to rocket to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds and then to a claimed top speed of 206 miles per hour (332 km/h).
