The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) LTD last week released estimated prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as Petrol (obtained from the Dangote Refinery) in its retail stations across the country.

According to the price map shared by the NNPC, the estimated pump prices in Lagos, Sokoto and Oyo are N950, N992 and N960 per litres respectively, while residents in Kaduna, FCT, Rivers and Borno will pay N999, N992, N980 and N1019 per litres respectively.





“The NNPC Ltd. can confirm that it is paying Dangote Refinery in USD for September 2024 PMS offtake, as Naira transactions will only commence on October 1st, 2024.”

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu also disclosed that the State government is seeking potential collaboration with Portuguese construction firm, Mota-Engil Consortium, for the construction of the proposed Lekki-Epe International Airport.





It will be recalled that Governor Sanwo-Olu had on October 11th, 2022 received the Federal Government Approval document, which authorizes Lagos State Government to commence its proposed Lekki International Airport.

The project, which will be constructed on 3,500 hectares of land on the Lekki-Epe axis of the State, is expected to cater to a minimum of five million people yearly.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) also highlighted other benefits of the Electronic Central Motor Registry (e-CMR) initiative aimed at revolutionising how vehicle information is verified and handled on the road.

In a post on X on Thursday, the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, highlighted the effectiveness of the e-CMR in solving the vehicle related crimes as well as removing the need to carry around physical documents.

The Force PRO added that :

“If your vehicle is registered with the NPF E-CMR and gets stolen, you can instantly flag it as stolen through your online profile. All field officers nationwide will be alerted within seconds Let’s make our roads safer together.”
