JLR sales and revenue declined in Q1 FY26, impacted by the US trade tariffs and planned legacy Jaguar wind down.

Revenue for Q1 was £6.6b (-9.2%), Profit before tax was £351m (-49.4%) while Profit after tax was £248m (vs £502m in Q1 FY25.

During the quarter, JLR launched the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SV Black models and Defender OCTA Black Edition.

Jaguar Land Rover Automotive plc (JLR) on Friday August 8th announced its financial results for the three months to 30 June 2025 (the brand’s Q1 FY26), which was significantly impacted by the US trade tariffs and planned legacy Jaguar wind down.

Revenue for Q1 FY26 was £6.6 billion, down 9.2% versus Q1 FY25, while Profit before tax and exceptional items (“PBT”) was £351 million for Q1, down 49.4%. Profit after tax (“PAT”) in the quarter was £248 million, compared to the £502 million in Q1 FY25.

JLR says that wholesale volumes and revenues in the quarter were significantly impacted by the application of 27.5 percent US trade tariffs on UK‑ and EU‑produced cars exported to the US, which has now been reduced to 15%.

“Thanks to our talented people and the robust foundations we have built at JLR, we delivered an 11th successive profitable quarter amid challenging global economic conditions, said Adrian Mardell, the outgoing Chief Executive Officer of JLR.

“We are grateful to the UK and US Governments for delivering at speed the new UK‑US trade deal, which will lessen the significant US tariff impact in subsequent quarters, as will, in due course, the EU‑US trade deal announced on 27 July 2025.”

During the quarter, the British luxury marque also launched the all-new black-trimmed Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SV Black models as well as the Defender OCTA Black Edition while Discovery launched the Tempest and Gemini Editions.





Also, JLR said prototype vehicles of the upcoming Range Rover Electric were driven for first time by media during this oeriin, noting that waiting list for the electric variant of the flagship has surpassed 65,000.
