Keke Marwa Becomes More Popular In Lebanon Due To Taxi Fare Rise - autojosh

Amid worsening fuel shortage, Tuk-tuks, popularly known as Keke Marwa in Nigeria becomes more popular in lebanon due to taxi fare rise.

Auto rickshaws is known by several names around the world including Tuk-tuks as well Keke Marwa and Keke Napep in Nigeria.

It is widely used in countries like Lebanon, Egypt, Gaza, India, South Africa, Sudan and in all Nigerian cities.





The three-wheeled auto rickshaw have become more popular in Lebanon due to the continued rise in taxi fares caused by a worsening fuel shortage amid an economic crisis.

The 3-wheeled vehicle have long been an alternative means of transportation around the world for low-income earners as well as users who ply unmotorable roads or who cannot afford taxi or bus fares.

The auto rickshaws is known by several names around the world including Tuk-tuks as well Keke Marwa and Keke Napep in Nigeria. It is widely used in Lebanon, India, Egypt, Gaza, South Africa, Sudan and in all Nigerian cities.





Just like in most countries where it is being used, the tricycle is source of livelihood for millions of Nigerians. It is also the cheapest means of transportation to the common man.

It was first introduced into Nigeria in the 1990s by the current National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) boss, Buba Marwa, when he was the Military Administrator of Lagos State.
