The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) vehicle is a fully equipped self-sufficient mobile evidence collection center.

Its rear is equipped with storages that stores collection tools as well as evidence before it is moved to a lab.

The Lagos State Police Command has added a Crime Scene Unit (CSU) vehicle, also known as a Forensic Investigation Vehicle, to its fleet that will be responding to crime scenes across the city.

The acquisition of the nation’s first-ever CSU vehicle was made known by the former spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a tweet on his official X handle on Monday.

“Centre of Excellence for a reason.

Kudos @LagosPoliceNG ??,” said Hundeyin, who is now the current Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) vehicle is a self-sufficient mobile evidence collection center. Its rear is equipped with storages that stores equipments and evidence collection tools.

It also has secure storages for collected items, allowing Crime Scene Unit of the Lagos State Command to safely store and secure evidence before it is moved to a lab.
