LAMATA releases fares for Red Line ahead of start of full passenger operations on Tuesday 15th October 2024.
In a zoned-based fare system released by LAMATA, passengers taken train trip from Agbado to Oyingbo will pay N1,500.
Passengers making a trip within Zone 2 (Agbado – Iju – Agege) will be charged only N500.
Price of train trips within Zone 1 (stations between Agege and Oyingbo) varies between N500 and N1,000.
The Red Line’s first phase is a 27-kilometre railroad from Oyingbo in Lagos State to Agbado in Ogun State.
It boasts of eight stations at Oyingbo, Yaba, Mushin, Oshodi, Ikeja, Agege, Iju and Agbado.
The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has released the fares for the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Red Line Rail, ahead of commencement of full passenger operations on Tuesday, 15th October 2024.
The Red Line’s first phase is a 27-kilometre railroad from Oyingbo in Lagos State to Agbado in Ogun State with eight stations at Oyingbo, Yaba, Mushin, Oshodi, Ikeja, Agege, Iju and Agbado.
In a zoned-based fare system released by LAMATA, passengers taken the full length of the train trip from Agbado (Zone 2) to Oyingbo (Zone 1) will pay One Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N1,500).
