LAMATA Releases New BRT Fares From March 2nd 2026 After 13 Percent Increase – See The Full List

The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), has released the revised fare structure for Bus Rapid Transit and standard route services following the approval of a 13 per cent increase across services under the Bus Reform Initiative.
According to LAMATA, the fare increase, approved by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is aimed at cushioning the impact of sustained economic challenges affecting public transport operations.
“The review is also in line with the previously approved annual fare review mechanism,” LAMATA said in a statement on Tuesday. The increase in the fares for all BRT routes in the state is scheduled to commence on Monday March 2nd 2026.
