Future Classic : Rolls-Royce Clients Are Commissioning Electric Spectre As A Collector’s Item

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ first fully electric model, the Spectre and its Black Badge alter ego, are increasingly recognised by clients and collectors around the world as a motor car worthy of being passed down for generations.
For outperforming both Wraith and Dawn in their debut years, Rolls-Royce boasts that clients are embracing all-electric two-door, four-seat Coupé as an authentic and desirable expression of the marque’s legacy.

Spectre fulfils a prophecy made by co-founder of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Hon. Charles Stewart Rolls, who made a bold prediction more than 120 years ago that :
“The electric car is perfectly noiseless and clean. There is no smell or vibration. They should become very useful when fixed charging stations can be arranged.”
Rolls-Royce said the recognition of Spectre as a collector’s item rather than a short-term acquisition was evident with the number of highly Bespoke commissions last year, including the Spectre Bailey and the Spectre Soulmate.

In addition to receiving a large share of the most valuable Bespoke commissions in 2025, the electric Coupe was also the second most demanded Rolls-Royce car worldwide, behind the British luxury marque’s first-ever SUV, the Cullinan.
“Spectre has been created with the same legacy that defines every Rolls-Royce. As the first of its kind, it marks a distinct moment in our history,” said Chris Brownridge, the CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

“Our clients understand this intuitively and commission Spectre as a Rolls-Royce to be admired and passed down for generations. This was reflected in its reception: Spectre was our most successful coupé launch to date.”
Rolls-Royce claims that recent prototype Spectre indicated 99 percent battery capacity after more than 100,000 kilometres. The 2.9-tonne all-electric Coupé uses 102-kWh lithium-ion battery, made using cobalt and lithium. When fully charged, it allows 530 kilometers (329 miles) per charge.
