Lamborghini Celebrates 60 Years With A One-Off Huracán Sterrato That Took 370 Hours To Paint

Lamborghini celebrates 60 years with a one-off ‘Opera Unica’ Huracán Sterrato that took 370 hours to paint.
Finished in a unique crystal-effect paint, the “Opera Unica” is inspired by the vibrant blues of Sardinia’s seas and skies.
To create the hand-painted crystal-like frozen liquid, three distinct colors were merged together.
Lamborghini has unveiled the “Opera Unica”, a one-of-a-kind Huracán Sterrato to celebrate the Italian sports car brand’s 60th anniversary and its heritage of colors.
Inspired by the vibrant blues of Sardinia’s seas and skies, the “Opera Unica” features a unique crystal-effect paint finish that was created by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department.
To create the hand-painted crystal-like frozen liquid effect on the exterior, three distinct colors – Blue Amnis, Blu Grifo and Blu Fedra were merged together – a painting process that took over 370 hours to complete.
“The Huracán Sterrato was born from challenging the expected, delivering a super sports car that goes beyond convention. The one-off Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica takes this to another level, and in Lamborghini tradition, draws attention and asks questions of it as an art form,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini.
“Lamborghini is always touched by the beauty and colors of Sardinia, and this is the perfect opportunity to experiment with a new paint process, explore the possibilities of our Ad Personam personalization, and then present this special Sterrato to our clients and guests in the environment that inspired the blue crystal effect.”
The exterior of the one-off Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica, including the roof, sills and front-light casings, front and rear splitters, fenders, and its muscular, enhanced wheel-arch protection, is finished in matt black paint.
Inside, the Opera Unica one-off features sports seats, door panels and console that are upholstered in Blu Delphinus leather, while the dashboard in same Blu Delphinus color has a specially-dyed Alcantara.
The interior of the Opera Unica One-off, like all Huracán Sterrato cars to be produced, carries a special plate denoting it as one of 1499 in a limited series, as well as special plates celebrating ‘Opera Unica Porto Cervo 2023’.
Following its debut at the Lamborghini VIP client dinner in Cala di Volpe hotel, the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica will be showcased at the Lamborghini Lounge in Porto Cervo until 10 September, with visits by appointment.
