Lamborghini Patent “Fenomeno” As A Special Model For The Revuelta

Lamborghini is on the verge of an exciting announcement, as a recent patent filing has likely revealed the name of their upcoming limited edition model. The Fenomeno (“phenomenon”) is anticipated to be a special variant of the flagship Revuelta model, not the upcoming Temerario.

The name protection was filed in April and also features a logo design that is consistent with Revuelta and Temerario, showing small horns protruding from the name.

The Revuelto’s predecessor, the Aventador, was the basis for several special editions during its 11-year lifespan, including the Sian (Lamborghini’s first hybrid), the new Countach, and the Centenario. It is expected that the Fenomeno could use the same structure as the Revuelto but with an all-new exterior and possibly new powertrains.

With 1,001 hp, the Revuelto is already the most powerful Lamborghini ever, thanks to the combination of a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine and three electric motors—so the Fenomeno will have to give the standard car a boost.

On the other hand, removing the Revuelt’s plug-in hybrid system to create a lighter, if less powerful, offering would also be a tempting proposition.

Lamborghini has not yet spoken publicly about the phenomenon, although we could have the premiere as early as August. That’s when the Pebble Beach Concours takes place as part of Monterey Car Week, which has already hosted many exclusive Lamborghini premieres, including the Lanzador concept and, last year, the production Temarario.
