The officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) on Monday July 15th rescued the driver of a Toyota Venza following a crash with a stationary truck at Palmgrove, inward Obanikoro along Ikorodu road.

Upon arrival at the crash scene, LASEMA Response Team discovered that the driver of a white Toyota Venza has gotten trapped in his Crossover SUV due to the impact of the crash.

LASEMA’s Response Team from Cobra Base immediately started the extrication process, using specialized tools to remove the driver from the Venza, the Agency said in a statement.

Investigation by LASEMA revealed that the driver of the Toyota Venza crashed into a broken down stationary truck laden with scrap metals while on top speed after losing control of the Crossover SUV.

“The driver of the white Toyota Venza was extricated from the jeep by the Agency’s Response Team from Cobra Base using sophisticated Light Rescue Equipment.

“The victim was given immediate medical attention by LASAMBUS at the incident scene before being transported in the ambulance to the Trauma Centre at General Hospital Gbagada for further treatment.

“The affected white Toyota Venza has been recovered off-the-road to Pedro Police Station, while the affected truck could not be towed due to propeller issues.”
