The all-new Mercedes-AMG GT2 Edition W16 Is A $791,000 Track-only Race Car Without A W16 Engine.
Based on the GT2 unveiled in 2022, the Mercedes-AMG GT2 Edition W16 is developed exclusively for track use.
The Mercedes-AMG GT2 Edition W16 is powered by a uprated 4.0-litre V8 biturbo from the base 707-hp GT2.
This uprated V8 puts out 818-hp, making it the most powerful Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing car of all time.


Mercedes-Benz high-performance division has unveiled the all-new, track-only limited-edition Mercedes-AMG GT2 Edition W16 that combines Formula 1 technology with GT racing bodywork.
Based on the GT2 unveiled in 2022 and limited to just 30 units worldwide, the Mercedes-AMG GT2 Edition W16 is developed exclusively for track use, with each of these collector’s item planned to be delivered in an exclusive event on a European racetrack.


The GT2 Edition W16 is powered by a uprated 4.0-litre V8 biturbo from the base 707-hp GT2, which puts 818 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque in the – making it the most powerful Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing car of all time.

To help achieve optimum vehicle balance, the GT2 gets an active louvres above the front wheels, an enlarged front diffuser, a carbon spoiler lip and a F1-inspired Drag Reduction System (DRS) – the latter which allows its top speed to increase to over 320 km/h.
While the Mercedes-AMG GT2 Edition W16 isn’t powered by a W16 engine, its colour scheme and design elements are inspired by the Mercedes-AMG F1 W16 E Performance driven this season by rookie Kimi Antonelli, who is the prominent patron of the strictly limited edition.


Inside, the exclusivity touches includes a door sill panels hand-signed by 19 year old Andrea Kimi Antonelli and a ‘1 of 30’ badge that is embedded in the centre console of each Mercedes-a GT2 Edition W16.
In addition, the seat, doors and centre console feature accents in the PETRONAS ‘Emerald Green’ colour while the Cube Controls steering wheel has been redesigned and its functionality improved.


Each of the 30 planned units of the Mercedes-AMG GT2 Edition W16 has a starting pricing of EUR 679,000 (excluding sales tax), which works out to approximately $791,000 at the current conversion rate.
In addition to the car, buyers will also get delivery package that includes Edition-specific car cover, personal racing gear with racing suit and helmet from Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Official Suppliers, OMP and BELL Helmets.
