LAMATA to deploy 229 high- and medium-capacity buses with blue-and-white Lagos regulated colours in the initial phase.
In the first phase, the service will operate along Ajah–CMS (Marina)/Obalende, Ajah–Oshodi, Ajah–Berger, and Ajah–Iyana Ipaja.
LASG notes that Korope will be reassigned to community routes to strengthen the First and Last Mile bus scheme.

The Lagos State Government is set to commence an exclusive regulated bus operations of the Lekki–Epe Bus Reform Scheme on December 8th 2025 with the deployment of 229 high- and medium-capacity buses in the initial phase.
In the first phase of the Lekki–Epe Bus Reform Scheme, the service will operate along Ajah–CMS (Marina)/Obalende, Ajah–Oshodi, Ajah–Berger, and Ajah–Iyana Ipaja, according to a statement by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA).

“We need to take a lot of bad buses off the road. The Lekki-Epe Expressway is not isolated,” the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Sola Giwa, said during the final stakeholder meeting ahead of the commencement of the regulated bus operations.
“We are working on other major transit corridors. The vision of the State Government is also to remove the small buses known as korope from major highways and reassign them to feeder and community routes to strengthen the First and Last Mile bus scheme,” he said.
During the meeting, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation also clarified that one of the operators will run an express service while the rest would offer stage carriage services.
LAMATA said all participating buses will carry the standard blue-and-white Lagos regulated colours, QR-enabled PTCS verification stickers, unique identification codes, and Touch and Pay (TAP) stickers.
