Lawless : Wike’s Aide Slams Dino Melaye For Driving A Rolls-Royce Without A Front Number Plate
Lawless : Wike’s aide, Lere Olayinka, slams Dino Melaye for driving a Rolls-Royce without a front number plate.
Questioned why the former Kogi Senator—known for showing off his luxury cars on social media—failed to obey a simple rule.
The call out comes amid the Nigeria Police Forces nationwide crackdown of vehicles with concealed/no registration numbers.

Lere Olayinka, a Nigerian journalist and the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has called out Dino Melaye for failing to affix a front-number plate to his Rolls-Royce Wraith Coupe.
Sharing a screenshot of a post by Dino, Wike’s aide questioned why the former Kogi Senator—known for showing off his luxury cars on social media—failed to obey a simple rule.
“They want to govern Nigeria, but they are so LAWLESS that they use vehicles without NUMBER PLATE,” Lere wrote, amid the Nigeria Police Forces nationwide crackdown of vehicles with concealed/no registration numbers.
The criticism comes amid a directive from the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu, to crack down on vehicles operating without registration number plates, as well as those with concealed, altered, or obscured numbers, as they pose a serious threat to public safety and national security.
The IGP said : “Across several parts of the country, we have observed an increasing number of vehicles being driven without registration number plates, as well as vehicles whose number plates are deliberately concealed, defaced, covered, or altered in an attempt to evade identification.”
“There shall be no preferential treatment or selective enforcement. The law must apply equally to all, and anyone who chooses to disregard this directive will face the full consequences of the law,” the Inspector-General of Police said while urging all vehicle owners to ensure compliance with registration requirements.
