Liberian Senator’s Toyota Land Cruiser SUV Nearly Fell Into River After Its Tyres Slipped Off A Narrow Bridge
Liberian Senator’s Toyota Land Cruiser SUV nearly falls into river after its tyres slipped off a narrow bridge.
While there were no report of injuries, many blamed the incident on many years of neglect of rural infrastructures.

A Toyota Land Cruiser 300 SUV belonging to a Senator in the northwestern part of Liberia nearly falls into the river below after its tyres slipped off a narrow plank bridge it was crossing on.
According to local reports, the incident happened while the Liberian politician, Senator Edwin Snowe, was heading to Manabokai Town after attending burial rites.

Trending footage shared online shows good samaritans pushing the Senator’s Toyota SUV backwards as part of efforts to rescue the stuck off-road-ready Japanese SUV.
While there were no report of injuries, the local residents at the scene blamed the avoidable incident on many years of outright neglect of rural infrastructure and safety including bridges and roads.

“A bridge should be a connection to opportunity and safety and not a trapdoor to tragedy. It is time for our leadership to fund the future of our rural roads,” a local, who was on the scene, asked, according VerityOnlineNews report.
“If a Senator’s modern, high-clearance SUV can be easily trapped and nearly plunged into a river by these “death traps,” what hope is there for the average citizen, the market woman, or the sick being rushed to a clinic in the time of emergency?”
