‘London Bus Aunty’, A UK-based Nigerian, Wins ‘Video Of The Year 2025’ At TikTok UK & Ireland Awards

Bemi Orojuogun, a UK-based Nigerian popularly known as “London Bus Aunty”, has emerged the winner of the “Video of the Year 2025” at this year’s TikTok UK & Ireland awards.
The TikTok sensation, who works as a mental health nurse, is known for sharing videos of herself standing by the roadside as buses glide past famous landmarks in the UK like Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus.
“Don’t allow your age to stop you. Don’t allow your family to say don’t do that, it’s embarrassing. If you love it, do it,” the 56 year old said while accepting Video of the Year at the TikTok UK Awards.
Since her video first went viral in 2024, Bemi has gathered over 379,000 followers on TikTok and more than 25,000 on Instagram for her bus content.
Corps Marshal Wins ‘Road Safety Champion Award 2025’, Dedicates Awards To FRSC Staff

The Corps Marshal of FRSC, Shehu Mohammed, has won the ‘2025 Road Safety Champion Awards’ organized by the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) at the National Conference/Awards held recently in Lagos.
The FRSC boss won the award in recognition of his aggressive transformation agenda in road transportation safety and commitment to championing the campaign for safer road environment in Nigeria through the FRSC platform.
Speaking at the event, Sector Commander of Lagos State Sector Command of the FRSC, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, who received the award on behalf of Shehu Mohammed, reiterated that every movement starts and ends on the road.
He stressed that transportation is a critical aspect of Nigeria’s infrastructure and plays a vital role in connecting people, goods and services across the country. Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed further noted that Road Traffic Crashes are the major factors contributing to disruptions in the supply chains and increase in operational costs for the transport sector.
25th Abuja International Motor Fair : FG Moves To Transform Nigeria Into The Automotive Hub Of Sub-Saharan Africa

Vice President, Kashim Shettima, also emphasized government’s resolve to transform Nigeria into the automotive hub of Sub-Saharan Africa, charging automakers in Nigeria to ramp up the production of CNG-powered and Electric Vehicles (EVs) to meet the country’s rising demands.
Shettima gave this charge on Tuesday 18th November 2025 during the 25th edition of the Abuja International Motor Fair, hosted by the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), in collaboration with BKG Exhibition.
Speaking at the event, Shettima, ably represented by the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, reiterated that the theme “Driving Nigeria’s Automotive Future: Innovation, Sustainability and Growth” is not just a slogan but a national imperative.
He noted that it aligns perfectly with the Administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which encourages Nigerians to produce what they consume and consume what they produce. He emphasized the government’s resolve to transform Nigeria into the automotive hub of Sub-Saharan Africa.
