Last month, another of his 10 McLaren F1s sent to the UK for restoration was flown back to Brunei.
The leader of a tiny Islamic and oil rich country is well known for collecting supercars and ultra-rare wheels.
His collection includes 600 Rolls-Royces, 400+ Ferraris, 150+ Koenigsegg and dozens of one-off McLarens.
A McLaren F1 GT, one of Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah ibni Omar Ali Saifuddien III’s over 8,000 luxury cars, has been flown to the United Kingdom, where it will be restored and refreshed at the hands of experts from McLaren.
A series of images shared online shows the black McLaren F1 GT being loaded onto a plane destined for London’s Heathrow Airport.
The Sultan of Brunei, not only have the world’s largest collection of luxury cars, but also the world’s most remarkable collection of McLaren F1s.
At one stage, he owned ten (10) McLaren F1s, including three of the five F1 LM models produced, an F1 GTR race car, and this F1 GT, one of just three units in the world.
But this isn’t the first time one of his McLaren F1s will be sent to the UK to be refurbished. In February, a F1, with chassis #008 and painted blue, was spotted leaving Heathrow airport on a plane destined for Brunei.
