Mercedes-Benz A-Class Set To Stay Longer Than Anticipated
Mercedes-Benz sees that the acceptance of electric driving is slower and is therefore adjusting its course slightly. This means, among other things, that the A-class can stay longer.
At the end of February, Mercedes-Benz released its annual figures and warned that sales of electric cars are somewhat disappointing. Then CEO Ola Källenius immediately announced that the fuel car will remain quite important for the time being and that Mercedes’ electric goals are becoming less clear. Mercedes will continue to sell combustion engine models ‘well into the 2030s’. In line with this adjusted course, something will also change in the short term. The Mercedes-Benz A-Class may stay longer, according to reports.
The Mercedes-Benz A-Class will no longer be available next year, but production will now continue until 2026. It is not clear whether the B-class will also be allowed to stay longer, but for the time being, it does not seem likely. In any case, there will be an electric option at the bottom of the model range in the form of the production version of the Concept CLA. He would have to make it on his own, but he would soon have the A-class next to him for a while. Earlier, Mercedes-Benz board member Markus Schäfer, in conversation, called the disappearance of the A-class ‘inevitable’.
