Mercedes-Benz Group Sold 2.4 Million Cars And Vans In 2024, Finished The Year With A Solid Q4 Sales

Mercedes-Benz Group (former Daimler AG) sold 2,389,000 cars and vans between January and December of 2024.
Sales of passenger cars 1,983,400 vehicles (-3%) while full-year global sales of vans reached 405,600 units (-9 percent).
Sales of the Core segment increased 6% to 1,167,100 vehicles due to a strong performance of the GLC and E-Class.
Top-End vehicle sales fell to 281,500 units (-14%) due to market conditions in China, model changes and weak EV demand.
The Mercedes-Benz Group (former Daimler AG) sold 2,389,000 cars and vans between January and December of 2024, with the brand achieving its best quarter of the year in the October to December period with the sales of 625,800 vehicles.
Full-year sales of Mercedes-Benz Cars reached 1,983,400 vehicles (-3%) in 2024, while a good sales performance in Germany, China and the U.S. led to the sales of 520,100 units in the Q4 2024.
Sales of the Core segment increased 6% to 1,167,100 vehicles due to a strong performance of the GLC and E-Class while Top-End vehicle sales fell to 281,500 units (-14%) due to market conditions in China, model changes and weak EV demand.

“In 2024, Mercedes-Benz once again demonstrated the power of our brand and the depth of our broad product offering,” Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
“This culminated in strong sales of our Top-End and Core vehicles in the fourth quarter. We continue to consistently strengthen our portfolio with the biggest product offensive in our company’s history starting this year with the all-new CLA.”
Worldwide sales of Mercedes-Benz Vans on the quarter (Q4) reached 105,700 units (+16 percent) despite global macroeconomic challenges while full-year global sales reached 405,600 units (-9 percent).
“The global macroeconomic challenges have impacted our worldwide sales leading to a result of 405,600 units sold in 2024. We have closed 2024 with a solid fourth quarter. Our strong and entirely updated product portfolio positions us well in a competitive landscape in all markets across all segments,” Klaus Rehkugler, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans Sales & Marketing.
