GPEC had a wide range of Mercedes cars on display, including the new Vito Tourer and the new E-Class as radio patrol cars.

For special tasks, Mercedes-Benz had the 4-ton S 680 GUARD 4MATIC and the new eVito Tourer as a dog handler vehicle.





Last year, Mercedes-Benz once again presented itself as a provider of police vehicles with several exhibits on display at the 13th General Police Equipment Exhibition & Conference (GPEC) in Leipzig, Germany.

The International Trade Fair for Internal Security had a wide range of different Mercedes-Benz car and van models on display, including the new Vito Tourer and the new E-Class, which were exhibited as radio patrol cars.

For special tasks, Mercedes-Benz had 4.2-ton armored saloon, the S 680 GUARD 4MATIC featuring the VPAM VR10 level of protection and the new eVito Tourer as a dog handler vehicle.

“At GPEC we can once again show at a glance that we can provide the right solution for every application,” said Kersten Trieb, Head of Direct Business & ABH Vans Germany.





The GPEC is Europe’s largest closed information platform on internal security, accessible only to authorities, and included exhibitors from 33 countries.

Still on the Mercedes-Benz S 680 GUARD 4MATIC…..

The Mercedes-Benz S 680 Guard 4MATIC is specially designed to ferry state leaders and VIPs in style through the toughest regions on the planet. Its VR10 level of protection is the highest protection that a civil vehicle can receive.

Other security features on the Bunker includes multiple-layer glass and hydraulic-powered windows with a thickness of almost 10 centimeters, as well as a runflat Michelin PAX tyres to help the car travel for a distance of up to 30 kilometers when perforated.

According to Mercedes, customers can order the Mercedes-Benz S 680 Guard 4MATIC with either a 4-seat or a 5-seat layout. The modifications take 51 days to complete.
