Nissan Showcases Chinese-built All-new Plug-in Hybrid Pickup, Primera EV Sedan At Philippines Motor Show

Nissan’s ‘From China’ export strategy commenced with the unveiling of the brand’s all-new Navara Pro Plug-in Hybrid pickup and the all-new Primera EV sedan at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
As confirmed at Nissan’s vision showcase in April, China will play a pivotal role as a global hub for innovation and exports, driving product competitiveness. This milestone signals the start of a broader rollout of models designed and developed in China for select global markets.
The all-new Nissan Navara Pro Plug-in Hybrid pickup boasts a tough and assertive design built for both work and lifestyle use. Combining Nissan’s strong 4×4 heritage with electrified performance, it represents the brand’s next step in bringing electrification to the pickup segment.
All-new Primera EV sedan
The all-new Primera EV sedan has a clean, streamlined design with a strong focus on premium comfort and advanced in-cabin technology. With a refined interior and enhanced connectivity features, it reflects Nissan’s direction in delivering a more elevated and technology-driven driving experience.
Guillaume Cartier, Nissan’s chief performance officer, said : “As a lead market, China plays a dual role for Nissan, both as a strong market in its own right and a critical source of global competitiveness. This unveiling signal the beginning of our ‘From China’ export strategy, and I am pleased to see these vehicles reaching customers beyond China for the first time.

“The models demonstrate strong product competitiveness and represent an important step in strengthening our global portfolio and responding more quickly to diverse customer needs. We are excited to bring them to customers in the Philippines as we continue to accelerate this momentum across markets.”
Alongside the Navara Pro Plug-in Hybrid and Primera EV, Nissan also previewed its electrified future in the Philippines with the unveiling of the all-new Kicks e‑POWER as well as the all-new X‑Trail e‑Power.
Both are equipped with Nissan’s unique e‑POWER hybrid powertrain, which combines effortless performance, EV-like refinement and outstanding efficiency.
