The Lagos State Government has suspended the activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Oshodi Chapter. The action was taken after the murder of a notable member of the union, Alhaji Rasaq Balogun also known as Hamburger.
The collection of ticket fees from commercial buses was also banned and would remain so until the suspension is lifted. Effective measures have been put in place by the government to ensure a total compliance to the directive.
