O.J. Simpson’s infamous white Ford Bronco SUV which made history during 2-hour police car chase in 1994.
Simpson fled in a Bronco with his friend in the driver’s seat after he was charged with killing his ex-wife and her friend.
During the police pursuit, the Ford Bronco was chased by 20 LAPD squad cars as onlookers cheered and waved.
Former American football player and actor, Orenthal James Simpson, popularly known O.J. Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer on April 10th at the age of 76.
An X post from his family on April 11th said “Our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.”
But O.J. Simpson’s professional success was overshadowed by his trial and acquittal for the murders of his former ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994.

O.J. Simpson fled in a white Ford Bronco SUV with his friend Al Cowlings in the driver’s seat after he was charged with killing his ex-wife and her friend and ordered by prosecutors to surrender.

Simpson reportedly held a gun to Al’s head from the backseat of his friend’s Ford Bronco as they led police on a two-hour chase across Southern California on June 17, 1994.
During the police pursuit, the infamous white Ford Bronco was chased by 20 Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) squad cars as onlookers cheered and waved alongside the 405 Freeway.
The 60-mile police pursuit was reportedly the first-ever televised slow-speed car chase. It was televised live on major news outlet in America and watched by nearly 95 million viewers.
Simpson later surrendered and was arrested at his home in Brentwood. O.J. never served time for the death of his ex-wife and her friend, but he did served nine years of a 33-year sentence for kidnapping and armed robbery.
