Official : Spectre, Rolls-Royce First Electric Car, Will Arrive In 2023
Meet the Rolls-Royce Spectre EV, an ultra-luxury electric vehicle that will hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Camouflaged prototype shown looks like the 2-door Wraith, suggesting the Spectra could take the body-style of the Coupe.
Spectra Coupe will use the spaceframe architecture that underpins the flagship Phantom 8, the Cullinan, and the current Ghost.
Prototypes of Spectre will embark on a 2.5m km trip in all conditions and terrains around the world to simulate 400 years of use.

British marque, Rolls-Royce, today showed the first official pictures of its all-new Rolls-Royce Spectre EV, an ultra-luxury electric vehicle which is planned to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2023.
The official pictures of a camouflaged prototype looks quite similar to the two-door Rolls-Royce Wraith, suggesting the Spectra could take the body-style of the outgoing coupe.

But Rolls-Royce noted that the Spectra will use its spaceframe architecture, an aluminum platform that underpins the flagship Phantom 8, the Cullinan, and the current Ghost.

During the official presentation on Wednesday, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, referred to the Spectre as “the first and finest super-luxury product of its type”, adding that the Spectre “is not a prototype. It’s the real thing, it will be tested in plain sight and our clients will take first deliveries of the car in the fourth quarter of 2023.”
Concerning the name of the car, CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvö said that Spectre is usually given to “otherworldly beings synonymous with great power and apparition, creatures of an alternative realm that make their presence felt through fleeting manifestation.

“A spectre forces the world to pause. It dominates the space it occupies. Then, as quickly as it appears, it dissipates, leaving a wake of exhilaration, energy, and intrigue.”
Rolls-Royce says prototypes of the Spectre will embark on a 2.5 million km trip in all conditions and over all terrains around the world to simulate 400 years of use. Rolls-Royce hopes start making deliveries to customers in the fourth quarter of 2023.
