The Lagos State Government has commenced the enforcement of the technology-driven E-Call Up System along the Lekki-Epe Corridor, following months of strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and public sensitisation.

Effective from Friday August 1st 2025, the initiative aims to streamline truck movements, ease traffic congestion as well as eliminate illegal parking along the Lekki-Epe Free Trade Zone corridor.

Ahead of the rollout, the Ministry of Transportation implemented critical recommendations, including the reduction of park usage fee from ₦12,500 to ₦10,000 and the provision of seven (7) fully equipped designated truck parks.

According to the Lagos State Government, approximately 10,000 trucks were registered ahead of full implementation, with more currently being onboarded.

With the E-Call Up System, only trucks that are validated and cleared will be granted access to designated truck parks, where they will await an electronic call-up notification before proceeding to their loading destinations.

The E-Call Up System is expected to significantly improve traffic flow, safeguard road infrastructure, enhance public safety and stimulate economic activity along the corridor.

“The Lagos State Government urges all stakeholders to complete their registration and work collaboratively with relevant agencies to ensure the successful implementation of this initiative, which marks another step toward a smarter and more efficient transportation system in the State,” a statement by the LASG reads.
