Pininfarina’s PURA Vision Is A New Concept With ‘Lounge Door’ Openings

Automobili Pininfarina’s PURA Vision is a new futuristic Concept with tri-opening ‘Lounge Door’ openings.
‘Lounge Door’ openings, combined with the car’s central pillarless, provides easy access to the cabin.
Inside, it comes with a central touchscreen, speakers fitted into the headrests, and integrated wine cooler.
Electric hypercar developer Automobili Pininfarina has revealed a new futuristic concept car called the PURA Vision ahead of its public unveiling at Monterey Car Week later this month.
Unique features on the exceptionally sleek Coupe SUV includes a gullwing-like doors, which Pininfarina officially refers to as ‘Lounge Door’ openings.
Pininfarina says that these tri-opening ‘Lounge Door’ openings, which includes the Suicide Doors, combined with the car’s central pillarless design provides easy access to the sophisticated four-seat cabin.
“PURA Vision is the bridge from our present to an exciting new chapter in the history of Automobili Pininfarina,” Automobili Pininfarina chief executive Paolo Dellachà said.
“PURA Vision previews an exciting future and shows what can be achieved if we apply our PURA design principles to an entirely new kind of vehicle.”
Other unique features a gloss black floating roof, a Bianco Sestriere Gloss body as well as hidden headlights powered by ultra-slim L.E.S.S. nanofiber lighting technology that are less than 1mm thick.
Inside, Pininfarina’s electric luxury utility vehicle (e-LUV) comes with a rising central touchscreen, speakers fitted into the headrests, and an integrated wine cooler.
“PURA Vision showcases a future generation of elegant Automobili Pininfarina interiors where clients are cocooned in tailored comfort, with elevated visibility and exquisite material choices.
“It combines the personality of a sports car with the space and comfort of a luxury vehicle,” said Francesco Cundari, Interior Design Director for Automobili Pininfarina.
Pininfarina will present the PURA Vision concept at its private residence during Monterey Car Week (17-20 August), as well as at The Quail – A Motorsports Gathering (18 August 2023).
