Governor Sanwo-Olu hands over 250 brand new patrol vehicles to Lagos Police Command to fortify the State.

Communications gadgets and protective gears were also handed over to the police to boost security operations in Lagos State.

The handing over event took place during the Lagos State Security Trust Fund’s 18th Annual Town Hall Meeting on Security.

The crime fighting gadgets were procured through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF). 





The Lagos State Government on Thursday December 19th 2024 (today) fortified the armoury of the Lagos State Police Command with 250 brand new patrol vehicles as well as other essential hardware and communication devices.

The crime fighting gadgets, procured through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), was handed over to the security operatives by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during the Lagos State Security Trust Fund’s 18th Annual Town Hall Meeting on Security.

Sanwo-Olu, who shared the development on his X account on Thursday, stated that :





“Today, at our 18th Annual Town Hall Meeting on Security, I handed over 250 brand new patrol vehicles, along with essential hardware, communication devices, and protective gear, to our dedicated police force.”

“This initiative represents a significant advancement in our efforts to strengthen security operations throughout Lagos State.”

“Security is vital for maintaining economic stability and community safety, and it remains a top priority for us in Lagos. We are resolute in our commitment to enhancing safety for all Lagosians.”

“We also extend our gratitude to our partners in the private sector for their unwavering support of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) in our mission to ensure safety throughout Lagos.”

In attendance at the handing over event were the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun and Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.
