Officially opened in 1990, 3MB was the longest bridge in Africa until 1996 when 20.5-km 6th October Bridge in Egypt was completed.
A video and pictures shared have shown the stunning bird’s eye view of the newly renovated 11.8-kilometers (7.332 miles) Third Mainland Bridge (3MB) in Lagos State.
The drone footage captures the traffic scene in the daytime and at night along the illuminated highway, which now also features FRSC-monitored speed cameras to improve safety.
The newly renovated3MB was officially opened to traffic on Thursday April 4th 2024 following the successful completion of repair works by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
