Tesla CEO Elon Musk has confirmed that the deliveries of the Cybertruck has been stopped after a TikToker claimed that his accelerator pedal got stuck while driving the all-electric luxury pickup truck.

Must said this while commenting on a post on X (formerly Twitter) about the matter : “There were no injuries or accidents because of this. We are just being very cautious.”

The billionaire was reacting to a post by Whole Mars Catalog, which first reported the halt in deliveries of the Tesla Cybertruck due to the accelerator issue.

“Tesla has stopped all Cybertruck deliveries for seven days due to an issue with the accelerator pedal,” Whole Mars Catalog wrote on its handle.

Though, Musk claimed there were no accidents during the April 4th incident, the Cybertruck owner, Jose Martinez, said that he crashed the truck into a pole when the vehicle refused to slow down.

While explaining the issue on his TikTok page, el.chapito1985, Jose Martinez said his accelerator pedal’s cover came loose and got stuck – pinning the pedal to the ground.

“It held the accelerator down 100 percent, full throttle,” the user said, adding that hitting the brake pedal “overrides” the accelerator pedal, which allowed him to slow down.

The pause in deliveries and the subsequent recalls of 3,878 Tesla Cybertruck follows Elon Musk’s announcement on Monday that the electric vehicle manufacturer would cut more than 10% of its global workforce.
