The popular Toyota Hilux pickup truck, which is available in the Nigerian market, retains its stock engine.
Toyota Hilux is powered by a 2.7 L (2,693 cc) straight-4 gasoline engine or a 2.8 L (2,779 cc) four-cylinder diesel engine.
Japanese tuning company, GMG Double Eight, is offering a custom bodykit that literally turns your Toyota Hilux pickup truck into the larger and latest-generation Tundra lookalike.
The 2022 Toyota Tundra heavy-duty pickup truck debuted last year with a distinctive Front Grille design, which consists of a honeycomb-patterned grille and three yellow marker lights – all of which are found in GMG Double Eight’s restyling body kit.

GMG Double Eight’s restyling body kit centred on the front fascia, and it gives the Hilux the imposing appearance of the latest Toyota Tundra full-size pickup truck.
Apart from the new front fascia and a new set of deadlock alloy wheels shod in grippy All-terrain (4×4 Off Road) tyres, the rest of the bodywork remains largely unchanged on the Hilux.
The popular Toyota Hilux pickup truck, which is available in the Nigerian market, retains its stock engine. It is powered by a 2.7 L (2,693 cc) straight-4 gasoline engine or the (2,779 cc) four-cylinder diesel engine.
The complete kit by GMG Double Eight costs ¥388k ($2,692 or about ₦1.2 million). These includes ¥235k ($1,630) for the Front Bumper, ¥5k ($35) for the Grille’s Inner Mess, ¥8k ($55) for the Yellow Marker Lights, ¥95k ($659) for the Fender Add-ons, and ¥58k ($402) for the Bonnet Scoop.
