Throwback 2022 : When Floyd Mayweather arrived Nigeria in custom private jet, chauffeured in Innoson Vehicle.
Mayweather Jr. made a brief stopover in Nigeria to in May 2022 meet organizers of an exhibition match in Dubai as well as boxing fans.
Throwback follows a US Court ruling, ordering him to pay a Nigerian company $2.4m over breach of contract and fraud.
Back in May 2022 , American boxer, Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. made a brief stopover in Nigeria to meet organizers of an exhibition match in Dubai as well as boxing fans and journalists.
Video shared showed moments after Floyd Mayweather’s customized private jet worth $60 million touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, in Abuja, on Sunday May 8th, 2022.


Footage of his arrival was shared by indigenous automaker, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, whose IVM Capa Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) was used to chauffeur the Money Man from the airport.
On its official Twitter page, Innoson tweeted :
“Floyd Mayweather in an IVM Capa. Thank you @sabiradio for capturing this moment.
We started from the bottom, now we are here”


During his visit to Nigeria in 2022, Mayweather also met Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, at his Abuja residence, where he revealed plans to establish a boxing academy in Africa, especially in Nigeria to build young fighters.
Throwback trip to Nigeria comes after a US Court of Appeal upheld the ruling, ordering Mayweather to pay a Nigerian company, Zinni Media Concept Limited, the sum of $2.4m in damages over breach of contract and fraud.
