Today’s photos : Aerial view of the spiral 760 metres-long Nanpu Bridge in Shanghai, China.

The Nanpu Bridge in Shanghai China, was designed by the Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute, Shanghai Urban Construction College, and Shanghai Urban Construction Design Institute, with assistance from Holger S. Svensson.

With a main span of 423 meters (1,388 ft) and a total length of 760 metres (2,493 ft), the Nanpu Bridge, which opened to the public in 1991, is the 57th longest cable-stayed bridge in the world.

The bridge’s circular area, which looks spectacular by night — making it an attraction for locals and travelers — has a total length of 8,346 metres.

When viewed from the top, the circular area and the main span of the Nanpu bridge looks like a dragon lying across the river.
