Today’s Photos : Stretched Audi A6L sedan gets another life as a pickup truck after crash.
Donor car was a heavily crashed A6L with all behind the B-pillar basically gone.
Back in 2014, mechanics at an Audi dealership in China turned an A6L (C6) into a pickup truck following a crash that consumed everything behind the B-pillar — i.e vertical roof support structure located between the front and rear doors.
The donor A6L is a longer wheelbase version of the Audi A6 (C5) sedan for the Chinese market manufactured by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture from 2009 until 2012.
The racy two-door pickup truck features a large bed, a bright yellow bar, floodlight on roof, and rides on sporty alloys in Audi R8 style.
Powering it is a 2.0 TFSI turbo four-cylinder petrol engine with 170hp, which allows a top-speed that is said to be about 180km/h.
