Bugatti Chiron Successor, an hybrid hypercar, will be revealed in 2024 ahead of market launch in 2026.

Mate Rimac, had earlier confirmed that the car will be a hybrid and not an electric hypercar.

Chiron successor to retain Bugatti’s signature design cues such as the horseshoe grille, ‘Bugatti line’.

The upcoming hypercar ditches the firm’s iconic W16 for a hybrid-assisted petrol V8 instead.

The Bugatti Chiron successor will debut next year ahead of market launch in 2026, the French hypercar maker has confirmed on Thursday while announcing the retirement of design chief Achim Anscheidt.

Anscheidt has led Bugatti design for the last 19 years and oversaw the designs of the Veyron and Chiron and their several variants, as well as limited-edition Divo and Bolide, which retires the firms iconic W12 engine.

Bugatti hasn’t said much about the upcoming Chiron successor, but Bugatti-Rimac CEO, Mate Rimac, had earlier confirmed that the car will be a hybrid and not an electric hypercar.

Speaking with Autocar, Achim, who also oversaw the completion of the upcoming Bugatti Chiron successor and still remains as an advisor to Mate Rimac, said :

“The car (Chiron successor) is finished. We delivered the prototype tooling a couple of months ago, and the production tooling will be delivered in a couple of months from now.”

“Everything I have tried to learn and comprehend over the last nineteen years with Bugatti, I wanted to make sure this experience funnels into the car’s development,” he said.





In addition to using a hybrid-assisted petrol V8 instead of the iconic W16, Anscheidt said the Chiron successor will retain Bugatti’s signature design cues such as the horseshoe grille and ‘Bugatti line’.
