Today’s Question: Which one the two modes of transportation move more passengers efficiently – buses or cars?
Public transportation like bus conveys more people in much less space than personal vehicles.
It also helps to keep traffic congestion lower, which in turn reduces air pollution from idling vehicles.

A footage taken from a highway in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, has shown the advantages of taken public transportation over personal transportation – driving personal cars to be precise.
The short clip shows two buses driving in opposite directions on a dedicated BRT lanes as well as hundreds of personal vehicles stuck in a heavy traffic — a scene similar to the type on Lagos highways.

In addition to conveying more people in much less space than personal vehicles, public transportation helps to keep traffic congestion lower, which in turn reduces air pollution from idling vehicles.
Back in 2012, Cycling Promotion Fund, an Australian bicycle industry, compared the road space taken by people in a bus and in cars to help promote alternative transport.
This project, which used 69 people in one bus versus 69 people in 60 cars, clearly explains why we should use public transportation in Nigeria.
