VP Shettima Inspects, Test-drove Nigerian-assembled Hyundai KONA Electric Car At NEC Meeting
Vice President Shettima inspects, test-drove Nigerian-assembled Hyundai KONA electric sedan at NEC meeting.
First introduced in Lagos in 2020, the Hyundai Kona comes with a
5-yrs of battery warranty, 5-yrs of vehicle warrant.
The cars battery-pack allows Hyundai Kona to drive 482 km on full charge before running out of juice.
It takes 9.35 hours to replenish the battery to full capacity and the electric car can be charged at home or at work.

President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday June 15th inaugurated the National Economic Council (NEC) at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Council, chaired by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, will convene once in a month to deliberate on critical national issues and advise the President on economic matters concerning the Federation.

Yesterday’s inauguration ceremony was attended by the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, and various high-ranking officials.


One of the highlight of yesterday’s meeting was the inspection of the Nigerian-assembled Hyundai KONA electric sedan by the Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima.
During the inspection, the Shettima test-drove the Nigerian-assembled Hyundai Kona EV. With the Vice president during the test-drive was the DG of the Nigeria Automotive Development Council (NADDC), Mr Jelani Aliyu, who sat at the back seat.
