In the video, the stationary camouflaged ET9 undergoing winter testing was seen shaking to clear large chunks of snow off its bonnet, windscreen, roof and the rear window.
“ET9 “Big Challenge” is here again! This time in the ice and snow, let’s see how the “SkyRide·Tianxing” intelligent chassis system can make ET9 “vibrating” and help you get off to a good start in the Year of the Dragon!,” Nio said in its caption.
Nio’s SkyRide Fully Active Suspension system incorporates Full Active Suspension, steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering to deliver smooth and comfortable rides even when the ET9 navigates bumpy roads.
The latest promo follows a demonstration of the silky smooth SkyRide system in December, when Nio loaded the bonnet of the ET9 EV with champagne glasses before taking it on a cruise across a road filled with rubber speed bumps.
Then, the Chinese brand claimed that its class-leading SkyRide Fully Active Suspension system is designed to deliver an experience comparable to cruising in a business jet.
“How capable is the NIO ET9 SkyRide Fully Active Suspension system? Have a look at the unique By-Wire Controlled Car Chassis which delivers an experience comparable to cruising in a business jet”, says in the caption.
Starting at CN¥800,000 (or around $113,000 at current exchange rates), first deliveries of the electric Nio ET9 executive sedan is set to begin in the first quarter of 2025.
