Watch Nio ET9 With Champagne Glasses On The Bonnet Glide Smoothly On Speed Bumps
NIO shows off ET9’s SkyRide Active Suspension that delivers smooth and comfortable ride even on bumpy roads.
To demonstrate it, Nio loaded the bonnet with champagne glasses before taking it on a cruise across a road filled with rubber speed bumps.
Despite the being subjected to a run across several speed bumps, not a single champagne glass on the ET9 tumbled over.
In the demonstration video shared, the ET9 executive sedan was seen gliding smoothly over a row of speed bumps.
NIO’s new flagship model, the ET9, recently arrived with a host of cutting-edge technologies, including the SkyRide Fully Active Suspension system, a standout feature which “delivers an experience comparable to cruising in a business jet”, according the Chinese brand.
The Full Active Suspension, together with the rear-wheel steering and steer-by-wire system are part of the Sky Ride Intelligent Chassis which offers drivers and passengers a smooth and comfortable ride even when the ET9 navigates bumpy roads.

In addition to the SkyRide Fully Active Suspension system, the ET9 is equipped with a swappable 120kW lithium-ion battery pack, a 900V ultra-fast charging adds 255km with a 5-minute charge while a swapping platform allows a 3-minute battery swap.
